Happy 4th of July to Everyone!

Happy 4th of July Everyone!!

Today is a day of celebration for all of  "US"  and to remember too. I do ask that if you see any military personnel today that you give them a thanks, shake their hand, salute them, and show your appreciation to them for our freedoms of today. Also, say a prayer for those who are over seas that could not be home with their family, and friends to celebrate this day with them. Most of all, please remember those who have fallen for us in fighting for our country, and our freedoms. I have read it, and do believe that the government is not fully credited for what we have today. Our military is the reasons that we have our freedoms of today as they have fought for us, and some gave their lives for us as well.

Our son is in the army, and yesterday I was able to get him from base so that he could come home for the weekend. So many men, and women I seen in uniform yesterday, and some in their civilian clothes too. Some of these are higher ranks, live on base, and have their families with them as well. This is just one base. There are many others through out the United States. Some of it is for basic training, places they go to after their basic training, and then the bases for when they are assigned their units they will be with for a while. Some are at units that are waiting to deploy . . . to go to Afghanistan, or across seas some where. So many of them who have chosen to fight for us, our country, and our freedoms we at home are able to enjoy.

Remember to give thanks to someone you see in the military, and to remember those fallen as well. Enjoy today, have fun, and be safe too! Safe travels, and
Happy 4th of July to all of you!!

Thanks for visiting Thrifty Shop Girl, and hope to see you all again soon.

Happy Memorial Day Please Remember Our Heroes

Happy Memorial Day Please Remember Our Heroes!

Make this a special day for you, and for your families. Please, remember to stop for a moment to remember those who cannot be with their loved ones. They have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms, and the same for those who are serving far away too. Bless them all!

While enjoying this Memorial Day with the family, and friends and as we fire up the grills to eat our burgers, and hot dogs, I ask you to please remember why we are celebrating this day. We are celebrating our many freedoms that have been fought for, and that have been won by some brave men and women. Today some cannot be home with their families as they are still serving. There are those who have given the greatest sacrifice by laying down their lives to guarantee us the joy of this day! Please, do remember and honor them All!

Giving thanks to all those who have given their tomorrows so that we all can have ours! For those who are on foreign soil still protecting us, and keeping us free today. . . . Stay safe, and return to enjoy the freedoms that you fight for!

So, today/anytime that you see someone in uniform, or maybe you know of someone serving our country, Please walk up to them and shake their hand, give them a hug, or salute them as well. Tell them Thank You for what you have done for Me, for my Family, for our Friends, and for our Country. Believe Me, they really do enjoy this, and are very happy to receive this from all of us. I have watched it done to our son when he comes home to visit, and the smile with pride he gets on his face for knowing he is doing our country good.

Have a fun-filled enjoyable Memorial Day everyone. Be Safe, and God's Blessing to All!

Happy Memorial Day and Weekend to All Bloggers and Blogland

Happy Memorial Day and Weekend to All Bloggers and Blogland!

Welcome to Thrifty Shop Girl everyone, and glad to have you visiting with me! Wanted to stop by, and leave ya'll a quick note wishing you a wonderful fun, enjoyable, and safe holiday weekend! Hope ya'll are enjoying the time, and it has been all you wanted it to be. While out, and about I ask that you will also remember those men, and women who are gone from us. Pay tribute to them by remembering them, and thanking them for what they have done for us to have our freedoms of today. Prayers to family, and friends of those gone. A big thank you to those who lost someone in the service...you are in my prayers.

So, any big plans this weekend, or for tomorrow? Great having a long weekend wasn't it? On Friday I stopped at a garage sale, and hit a big rummage sale. But, did not find anything that yelled at me to rescue it. Not this time anyway. There will be plenty more...summer is just begining:)

Time to be off for the night for me. Yesterday I painted some more in the bedrooms. Today I lounged more, and did some computer work. Always something to do. Hope this finds all of you doing well, having fun, and enjoying your Holiday. Take care everyone, and be safe!:) Thanks for visiting with Thrifty Shop Girl! See ya'll again real soon.
