Thrift Stores, Antique Barn Shopping, Junking
Thrift Stores, Antique Barn Shopping, Junking
Hello, and Welcome back to Thrifty Shop Girl everyone! Glad to see you here. So, how has the summer been for everyone? Where on earth did the time all go to? Seems like I was finally getting out doing a few things, and poof! It is almost gone already. Schools have started, pools are closed, and this coming weekend is Labor Day Weekend already. Doesn't seem fair, does it? Now, if we were living back down south our summers would go a little bit longer, and I would be able to go digging for things a little bit longer too. Hmmm.....see what the future holds for us.
Above is a picture of some things I had gotten when a very good friend of mine was visiting in town. We got to a Thrift Store, and we also got out to a place on the farm that sells vintage and antiques from their barns, and shed they have designed for it. I know...with all of that offerings I should have come home with sooo much more, but I was so enjoying the time with my friend. Jibber Jabbering, sharing things, and just enjoying what time we have is what I wanted to do:)
I have 2 little blue, and white saucer plates that will probably get attached to those lovely blue glass candle holders. I picked up another milk white glass jacobs ladder vase as you see above. With the 2 vases, and those 2 vintage milk glass ashtrays I have been playing, and thinking about some things to do. That yummy green pan will stay with me. The clear glass candle holders can always be used with something, and that glass like cloche will probably get something done with it too. I just love finding things that I can put together, and make something new to be treasured again.
By the way, I sold a gorgeous blue glass lamp that had been converted from an oil lamp to an electric one. In place of that I do think I will keep the lamp you see pictured above. Still looking at it, looks nice when it is lit, and I like things like that. Simpler times from another time in life. Gotta love it!
Well, I hope this finds everyone doing well. I appreciate ya'll stopping by to share your time with Thrifty Shop Girl! Hope to see ya'll again real soon. Take care, and safe travels with the holiday soon here.
